This truly is excellent! Amy Schumer is getting animated on the Sunday, September 25, season premieres of Family Guy, The Simpsons and Bob’s Burgers, and Us Weekly has the exclusive first images of her characters on each of the three shows.
Schumer, 35, starts out the night on Bob’s Burgers, voicing a woman who meets Bob (H. Jon Benjamin) at an offbeat shop when both are tracking down a new Kuchi Kopi toy.
Next, the Trainwreck star voices the treasured mom of Mr. Burns (Harry Shearer), and viewers will see the two together in an old-timey flashback. The dramatic episode also features Springfield burning to the ground!
On Family Guy, the comedian portrays Stewie’s former boss — hard hat and all — during his days working on a loading deck.
Schumer was Emmy-nominated for best lead actress in a comedy this year for Inside Amy Schumer, losing the prize at the September 18 ceremony to Veep‘s Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who picked up her fifth consecutive trophy in the category. Schumer recently wrapped filming on her upcoming vacation comedy with costar Goldie Hawn, directed by Jonathan Levine (Warm Bodies).
The Simpsons, which hits its historic 600th episode in October (only Gunsmoke has aired more episodes), will feature a litany of guest voices on season 28.
Along with Schumer, the venerable animated series will be joined by such famous funny folks as Sarah Silverman, Taraji P. Henson, Patton Oswalt, Allison Janney, Michael Sheen, Jason Alexander, Drew Carey and Lizzy Caplan.
The show made headlines last season when Waylon Smithers (Shearer) came out as gay, leading Homer Simpson (Dan Castellaneta) to naturally volunteer as matchmaker.
Bob’s Burgers airs on Fox Sundays at 7:30 p.m. ET, The Simpsons airs on Fox Sundays at 8 p.m. ET and Family Guy airs on Fox Sundays at 9 p.m. ET.
