Ronnie Ortiz-Magro has since become a household name following his time on the hit MTV series, Jersey Shore.
As an original cast member, Ronnie became known for being the typical gym-tan-laundry-loving guido, however, his hot temper and toxic relationship with former cast member, Sammi Giancola, kept fans concerned at times.
After experiencing similar trials and tribulations in his former relationship, so much that he's now faced yet another domestic abuse charge, Ronnie has made it clear he wants to move on to bigger and better things. The star has recently begun dating Saffire Matos amidst all the chaos, and fans are curious as to who she and just how the two met.
How Did Ronnie & Saffire Meet?
Ronnie Ortiz-Magro is officially off the market! The Jersey Shore star has not had the best of luck when it comes to his past relationships.
The star first dated former co-star, Sammi Giancola in what turned into one of the most roller coaster relationships on reality TV. After leaving the show, Sammi also said goodbye to her feelings for Ron.
Magro later went on to begin dating Jen Harley, with whom he shares his daughter, Ariana Magro. After a number of domestic violence charges against both of them, it was no surprise when they called it quits for good back in late 2019.
After appearing on Family Vacation last season, Ronnie revealed that the pandemic halted him from further pursuing his new relationship with Saffire Matos.
Ronnie and Saffire have certainly made their relationship very apparent on Instagram, traveling together, dining out, and sharing many intimate moments, sparking many fans to wonder just when and where the two met!
“I met her back in February [2020] and we talked for four or five months and we really did have a strong connection and bond," Ronnie told Us Weekly.
When the pandemic hit and Ronnie had to travel to Vegas to film the show, the star revealed that while this set them back a bit, their feelings for one another didn't change.
"We kind of rekindled things right before I went back to film," Ronnie said. "And you know, it’s different for me because I found someone that adds to my happiness.”
Ronnie went on to say that Saffire supports him and offers him exactly what he feels as if he's been missing in past romances.
Matos, who works as an eyelash technician in New York City, has also been very vocal about her love and support for Ronnie. When the Jersey Shore star was arrested last month, she took to Instagram to share a message.
After pleading for the public to not believe everything they are hearing, Saffire finished her post off by saying, “You don’t know what someone is going through at the end of the day. Don’t believe everything you hear or read online. I’d appreciate privacy, please"
Although fans are happy Ronnie is moving in a more positive direction, they are also sad to see him say goodbye to Jersey Shore, after announcing he wouldn't be returning.
While it would have been great to watch Ronnie and Saffire's relationship blossom in season 5, we'll have to settle for their romantic shots together on Instagram.
